Litigation and Appeals-Our firm represents and advises clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit or appeal as a result of a dispute, including prevention and settlement, in such areas as personal injury and employment claims, contract disputes, and family law and commercial matters.
Health & Healthcare Law-Our firm has extensive experience in the large and complex body of health and healthcare law which encompasses areas such as disability law, elder law, hospital law, and mental health law and is impacted by Social Security Disability, Medicare and Medicaid, and the Food and Drug Administration. We also have a large managed care practice, representing individual practice association clients in negotiating contracts with HMOs and in the formation of preferred provider organizations.
Environmental Law-Environmental law is a combination of state and Federal statutes and regulations, local ordinances, and case law governing clean air practice, water pollution, hazardous and solid waste, wetlands, and wild lands. Our environmental lawyers assist clients obtain required permits and comply with regulations and auditing principles to protect them from violations and penalties; advise them on hazardous waste, cleanup, and Superfund issues; and represent individuals and organizations in bringing actions where they believe a violation has occurred.
Insurance Law-Our Insurance Law Practice Group concentrates in insurance regulatory matters and transactions involving insurance and reinsurance companies. We have served as counsel to major national and international companies. Our specific areas of expertise include regulatory issues before the State Department of Insurance; corporate restructurings and equity changes; investments, securities, and banking matters; and reinsurance and insolvency issues.
Personal Injury-Our firm represents individuals involved in controversies alleging a wrong or damage to another's person, rights, reputation, or property resulting from events or activities such as automobile accidents, defective products, infliction of emotional distress, intentional misconduct, and negligence.
